Data is from July 2020 the Global Myopia Awareness Coalition (GMAC) survey conducted by Ipsos. 2,007 US parents with children under 18 were surveyed online during May 29-June 2, 2020. Respondents included 470 parents with a child less than 5 years old, 603 parents with a child 5-10 years old, 339 parents with a child 11-13 years old, and 595 parents with a child 14-17 years old. The data was weighted to be representative for gender, age, ethnicity/race, region, and education. The Global Myopia Awareness Coalition (GMAC) is a coalition of companies/health care associations who raise awareness about childhood myopia.
