Data is from the June 2020 Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies (TCRS) "20th Annual Transamerica Retirement Survey" conducted by The Harris Poll. 5,277 US full-time or part-time workers ages 18+ at for-profit companies that employ 1+ people were surveyed online during November 6-December 26, 2019. An additional supplemental survey was conducted with 1,248 US adults who work full- or part-time and/or who were laid off or furloughed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic were surveyed online during April 16-20, 2020. Data was weighted to be representative of the US population for education, age by gender, race/ethnicity, region, household income, and number of employees by company size.
