Description

A survey of US mobile users asked why they unsubscribe from a brand's mobile messaging. Responses include too many messages, irrelevant information, no longer caring about the brand, insufficient coupons/incentives, untimely messages and lack of personalization.

Methodology

Data is from the July 2019 Vibes "2019 US Mobile Consumer Report." 1,000 US smartphone owners ages 21-74 were surveyed online during May 17-23, 2019. The respondent base was split 50%/50% by gender, with 64% Android users and 36% iPhone users. 8% of respondents were Generation Z, 30% were millennials, 30% were Generation X and 32% were baby boomers.
