Reasons that US Young Adult* Social Media Users Consider Quitting Social Media, Dec 2017 (% of respondents)
Description
Of 1,000 Gen Z internet users surveyed, 41% said they would quit using social media because they feel they are spending too much time on it. 35% feel there is too much negativity on social media while 31% find they are not using it as often.
Methodology
Data is from the March 2018 Hill Holliday report titled "Meet Gen Z: The Social Generation" conducted by Origin. 1,000 US internet users ages 18-24 were surveyed online in December 2017. 91% of respondents were social media users. Origin is the research arm of Hill Holiday, a marketing agency.
