Additional Note: A smart home security device is an interactive device connected via internet and/or Bluetooth (or any other connectivity protocol) that can be controlled by using apps, smart home hubs or voice assistants to interact with other smart home security devices. Includes home security systems, security cameras, doorbells, locks, smoke detectors and alarms. Examples include ADT Command and Vivint and products from Ring. Excludes standalone security cameras and devices marketed as baby monitors.
Methodology: Estimates are based on the analysis of survey and traffic data from research firms and regulatory agencies, sales projections, historical trends, company-specific data, and demographic and socioeconomic factors.
