Additional Note: A smart home device is a device connected via internet and/or Bluetooth (or any other connectivity protocol) and installed in the home that allows the user to remotely monitor and manage home appliances and functions such as security access, lighting, temperature, utilities, and entertainment by using apps, smart home hubs or voice assistants. Smart home devices and systems can also operate together by sharing consumer usage data among themselves, and automate actions based on usage data and user preferences. Excludes smart speakers and smart TVs that do not interact with other smart home devices.
Methodology: Estimates are based on the analysis of survey and traffic data from research firms and regulatory agencies, sales projections, historical trends, company-specific data, and demographic and socioeconomic factors.
