Facebook, Instagram and Twitter User Penetration in Japan, 2018 (% of social network users)


According to eMarketer forecasts, Twitter will be used by the greatest percentage of social media users in Japan at 63.3%. Other social media platforms follow with Facebook at an estimated 39.3% and Instagram at 38.1%.


Estimates are based on the analysis of survey and traffic data from research firms and regulatory agencies; historical trends; and country-specific demographic and socioeconomic factors.
