Methodology

Data is from the September 2017 CMO Council and SAP Hybris report titled "Customer Experience Dynamics: Defining the Requirements for a Strong CX Ecosystem." 367 sales (n=198) and marketing (n=169) professionals worldwide from various industries were surveyed in August 2017 about the sales-marketing dynamic. Marketing respondents were from Africa (11%), Asia-Pacific (23%), Europe (9%), Middle East (4%), North America (48%) and South America (5%). Marketing respondents identified their company's focus as B2B (37%), B2C (15%) and hybrid of B2B and B2C (48%) with sales of less than $50 million (39%), $51-$100 million (12%), $101-$250 million (9%), $251-$500 million (9%), $501-$750 million (3%), $751 million-$1 billion (7%), $1.1-$5 billion (14%) and $5 billion+ (7%). SAP is an enterprise software solutions company.
