Most Vulnerable Endpoints/Entry Points to Their Company's Networks and Enterprise Systems According to IT Professionals Worldwide, Aug 2020 (% of respondents)


Data is from the October 2020 Ponemon Institute "Cybersecurity in the Remote Work Era: A Global Risk Report" sponsored by Keeper Security. 2,215 IT/IT security professionals worldwide were surveyed during August 2020. Respondents were from companies that have furloughed or directed their employees to work remotely as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The average percent of employees working remotely was 22% pre-pandemic and is now at 58%. A collective average of 33% of employees were furloughed. Respondents were from the US, the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Scandinavia, Australia, and New Zealand in a key vertical industry of financial services (17%), public sector (11%), services (8%), industrial (8%), and retailing (8%) in a current position of manager (19%), staff/technician (18%), supervisor (17%), and C-level executive/VP (10%). Ponemon Institute is a private research company that conducts research on privacy, data protection, and information security policy and Keeper Security is a password management and digital vault software company.
