What Do US Smartphone Owners See as Barriers to Trying a Mobile Wallet? (% of respondents, May 2019)
A survey of US mobile users asked why they aren't interested in using a mobile wallet. Responses include security concerns, lack of familiarity with mobile wallets, not knowing how to use them, not knowing where they're accepted and not knowing whether their phone has one.
Data is from the July 2019 Vibes "2019 US Mobile Consumer Report." 1,000 US smartphone owners ages 21-74 were surveyed online during May 17-23, 2019. The respondent base was split 50%/50% by gender, with 64% Android users and 36% iPhone users. 8% of respondents were Generation Z, 30% were millennials, 30% were Generation X and 32% were baby boomers.
