CTV demand helped Roku ad revenues grow 27%

The news: CTV provider Roku experienced a strong Q1, with net revenues up 22% to $1.25 billion, above analyst expectations.

By the numbers:

  • Ad revenues: $612.7 million, +27% YoY
  • Platform revenues: $1.13 billion, up 28% YoY—its largest revenue segment
  • Devices revenues: $117.6 million, +16% YoY
  • Streaming hours: 38.7 billion hours, +8% YoY

Roku’s noted that its strong ad revenue growth “reflects the growing recognition among advertisers that Roku’s unique combination of scale, first-party data, and innovative ad technology delivers measurable outcomes that help businesses grow.”

Why it matters: CTV is increasingly an essential part of advertisers’ media planning as viewers shift away from linear TV toward streaming services. Roku remains one of the most dominant players in the CTV ecosystem.

  • Roku is a clear leader in the market. We forecast that the company reaches nearly 50% of all CTV users, though this figure will decrease gradually through 2030 to 46.2%.
