Leading Social Media Platforms Actively Used by US Internet Users Today, July 2019 (% of respondents, by generation, July 2019)
Description
Internet users, broken out by generation (Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X and baby boomers) were asked the leading social networks they actively use today. Responses include Twitter, Snapchat and YouTube (Gen Z), Facebook, Twitter and YouTube (Millennials), Facebook, YouTube and Twitter/Facebook (Gen X) ... and Facebook, YouTube and none (boomers).

Methodology
Data is from the September 2019 Adobe report titled "Voice of the Generations Survey (US Results) in partnership with Advanis. 4,059 internet users were surveyed online during July 23-29, 2019. Respondents were US citizens and identified their generation as baby boomers (1946-1964), Generation X (1965-1976), millennials (1977-1995) and Gen Z (1996-2001). All generational respondent breakouts were 25%. Respondents also identified their gender as female (48%) or male (52%) with an employment status of full-time employee (45%), part-time employee (13%), self-employed (5%), retired (11%), full-time student (10%), homemaker (6%), not working but looking for work (6%) and other (3%). Advanis is a market research firm.
