The news: Meta is pushing creators from Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok to post on Facebook with a new “Creator Fast Track” program that offers guaranteed monthly payouts for creators who join the platform.
- The program offers creators with at least 100,000 followers on Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok $1,000 monthly to post on Facebook; creators with over 1 million followers will get $3,000 monthly.
- Guaranteed payments will last three months, and eligible Reels will receive “increased reach”; Facebook Creators’ vice president of product Yair Livne confirmed that creators will still have access to Facebook’s monetization program to boost reach “in perpetuity.”
- The move is specifically designed to help creators boost short-form video monetization on Facebook. Eligible creators must share a minimum of 15 Reels on Facebook in a 30-day period, spread out across 10 or more days. Content does not need to be Facebook-exclusive.
- Creators can use Facebook’s content monetization tools even if they don’t meet the follower count criteria for the Creator Fast Track.
Meta’s bid: Facebook remains Meta’s top platform by audience size, reaching 181.5 million US users in 2026, per our forecast. But the platform has historically struggled to draw interest from creators at the same pace of Instagram or its competitors.
