Methodology
Data is from the January 2026 Pew Research Center report titled "What We Know About Internet Use, Smartphone Ownership and Digital Divides in the US." 5,022 US adults ages 18+ were surveyed during February 5-June 18, 2025. SSRS conducted the survey online (n=2,349), via paper mail (n=2,331) and via telephone (n=342) as part of the Pew's National Public Opinion Reference Survey (NPORS) series. Interviews were conducted in English and Spanish. The sample was weighted for age, gender, education level, race/ethnicity, and other factors. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/-1.9 percentage points at the 95% level of confidence.Chart Title
