Online Dating Platforms Ever Used by US Online Dating Users, by Age, July 2022 (% of respondents in each group)
Methodology
Data is from a February 2023 Pew Research Center report titled "From Looking for Love to Swiping the Field: Online Dating in the U.S." 6,034 US adults ages 18+ from the American Trends Panel (ATP) were surveyed online during July 5-17, 2022. The survey included oversamples of adults who identify as lesbian, gay or bisexual (LGB), adults who have used online dating sites or apps, and adults who are currently looking for a romantic partner, in order to provide more precise estimates of the opinions and experiences of these smaller demographic subgroups. These oversampled groups are weighted back to reflect their correct proportions in the population. The American Trends Panel is a nationally representative panel of randomly selected US adults. Panelists who do not have internet access at home are provided with a tablet and wireless internet connection. Interviews are conducted in both English and Spanish. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/-2 percentage points.Chart Title
