Description

This chart shows the percent of total global time spent viewing OTT video during Q2 2019, broken out by device. Devices included in this chart are mobile, PC, connected TV (i.e., Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Xbox, PlayStation, Google Chromecast) and others.

Methodology

Data is from the November 2019 Conviva report titled "State of Streaming Q3 2019." Conviva's proprietary sensor technology tracks 100 billion streams per year across 3 billion applications for over 250 over-the-top (OTT) publisher brands worldwide. Video content measured includes movies, episodic TV shows, live linear television and live sports. Year-over-year comparisons are normalized at the customer level for accurate representations of industry growth.
