Methodology

Data is from the February 2018 TrendSource "2017 Post-Holiday Report." 1,743 internet users ages 18+ in North America were surveyed online during January 1-16, 2018. Respondents were female (82%) and male (16%). Respondents identified their age as 18-27 (13%), 28-36 (18%), 37-52 (37%), 53-71 (29%) and 72+ (2%). Respondents identified their ethnicity as Asian or Pacific Islander (3%), American-Indian or Alaskan Native (1%), black (12%), Hispanic or Latino (6%), white (74%) and prefer not to answer (5%). TrendSource is a market research consulting firm specializing in consumer insights solutions.
