Geoff Ramsey, Co-Founder of eMarketer, to Leave His Role as Chief Evangelist at Insider Intelligence

June 15, 2021 (New York, NY) – Insider Intelligence today announced that Geoff Ramsey, co-founder of eMarketer, will leave his role as chief evangelist with the company after more than a year helping to integrate Business Insider Intelligence and eMarketer.

“The pandemic presented all of us with challenges over the past year and a half,” said Ramsey. “After focusing on helping to successfully integrate the companies that now form Insider Intelligence, I feel the need to recharge, spend quality time with my family and friends, and rediscover aspects of myself that I’ve neglected these last decades as I built, ran, and promoted a business that has been a central focus in my life. ”

Ramsey co-founded eMarketer in 1996 with two colleagues after working for more than a decade in advertising. Having spent the past 25 years building eMarketer, Ramsey most recently served as chief evangelist of Insider Intelligence, taking center stage at some of the world’s most prominent marketing and advertising conferences, including ANA and IAB events, Mobile World Congress, and the Cannes Media Festival.

Said Barbara Peng, President of Insider Intelligence: “It has been a pleasure and an honor to work so closely with Geoff these past two years. Beyond being a visionary, his contagious energy and passion helped shape Insider Intelligence’s foundation at the start of our journey as a new company.”

Continued Ramsey: “This is the perfect time for me to step back from the company. Our staff, leadership team, and culture have never been stronger. I leave now knowing that the business is on its way towards realizing, and in many ways, exceeding the ambitious vision I had set for it a quarter century ago. I could not be prouder of the current team and I’m excited to watch how the company will continue to unfold.”

Insider Intelligencer is part of the Insider Inc. group, which is owned by Axel Springer.
