The news: Walmart will soon let consumers order items from Dunkin’ via the Walmart app or website, moving further into restaurant delivery. The retailer will launch the offering via its 150 in-store tenant locations before expanding to most of the chain’s roughly 10,000 locations outside Walmart stores.
Eligible customers will automatically see Dunkin’ as an option in the Restaurants tab on the Walmart app based on their delivery address. Clicking in, they can browse the menu, customize beverage and food selections, and check out.
The deal builds on Walmart’s initial foray into restaurant delivery, when it began offering 30-minute delivery from in-store Subway restaurants through its Express Delivery service. Restaurant delivery is part of Walmart’s broader Express Delivery offering, which gives Walmart+ members discounted delivery fees.
