Smart TVs are the most popular CTV device in the US

Key stat: 67.5 million US households use smart TVs, making it the No. 1 device among connected TV (CTV) households across the country, according to July 2024 data from Comscore.

Beyond the chart:

  • This year, Hulu and YouTube will be the top platforms by CTV ad revenue, reaching $3.39 billion and $3.34 billion, respectively, per our forecast.
  • However, next year, Amazon will jump to the top, garnering $3.85 billion in CTV ad revenue compared to Hulu’s $3.50 billion and YouTube’s $3.77 billion.

Use this chart: Marketers and retailers can act on this chart to prioritize smart TV ad formats, identify opportunities for cross-device campaigns, and highlight untapped ad spaces among CTV viewers.
