Reddit’s share of ad dollars may be low, but user engagement and trust are skyrocketing

The news: Reddit published a report with Adjust and Sensor Tower analyzing the platform’s ability for its communities to influence purchasing decisions—and highlighting its increasing relevance for advertisers.

Among the key findings:

  • Reddit massively influences purchase decisions. It ranked as the top trustworthy platform to inform product and brand decisions, and 43% of recommendation conversations on Reddit are product redirects. The study also found that two in three Redditors would purchase a product after seeing an ad about it on Reddit.
