The news: JPMorganChase partnered with the Grand Ole Opry, per a press release.
JPMorganChase previously partnered with the Opry on an exclusive "Dinner at the Opry" dining experience with Ella Langley for Sapphire Reserve cardholders.
Zooming out: Card issuers are racing to attach their products to memorable experiences, and 2026 has produced several versions of that playbook.
Banks are applying the same logic to venues. For example, Capital One signed a 20-year naming rights extension tied to a $1-billion-plus arena rebuild in Washington, DC, expanding a dedicated cardholder entrance to all 250 annual events.
Implications for banks: Rather than stopping at branding or one-off experiences, JPMorganChase is layering exclusive perks that cardholders can engage with the brand throughout the year.
And while these kinds of partnerships can boost Chase’s travel and entertainment card spend, they also play into the bank’s ambitions to build out its national presence and control 15% of all US deposits. JPMorganChase is already the top depositholder nationwide, per FDIC data, but 50 new branches in Tennessee alongside the Opry’s deep local roots help Chase build relevance in a growth market without limiting the partnership’s appeal to customers there.
