Methodology
Data is from a March 2026 Semrush analysis as cited in a company blog. A base sample of 325,000 unique prompts were run on ChatGPT Search, Google AI Mode, and Perplexity during January-February 2026. The prompts spanned topics across 12 major industry categories, including professional and business topics relevant to LinkedIn. 89,000 LinkedIn URLs were identified among the generated responses. Semrush collaborated with LinkedIn to get further information about the links.Sources
