What Types of Shipping Speeds Are US Digital Buyers Likely to Pay For? (% of respondents, by age, Q3 2018)

Methodology

Data is from the January 2019 LaserShip "E-Commerce Shipping Needs Survey" conducted by Hanover Research. 1,014 US digital buyers ages 18+ were surveyed online in Q3 2018. Respondents had made at least two digital purchases within the last three months. Respondents were female (54%) and male (46%). Respondents identified their ages as 18-25 (23%), ages 26-35 (22%), 35-54 (26%) and 55+ (29%). Respondents identified their income as $0 to $24,999 (11%), $25,000 to $49,999 (16%), $50,000 to $74,999 (17%), $75,000 to $99,999 (16%), $100,000 to $124,999 (12%), $125,000 to $149,999 (7%), $150,000 to $174,999 (4%), $175,000 to $199,999 (3%), $200,000 or more (5%) and prefer not to say (8%). Respondents identified their education level as some high school (2%), high school diploma/GED (13%), some college (17%), 2-year degree (9%), 4-year degree (29%), some graduate school (4%), graduate degree (24%) and prefer not to say (1%). Respondents identified their employment status as employed full-time (50%), employed part-time (8%), self-employed (4%), unemployed (5%), stay-at-home parent (4%), student (8%), retired (17%), unable to work (2%) and prefer not to say (1%).
