The news: YouTube and NBCUniversal struck a multiyear deal to make Peacock Premium available to US YouTube Premium subscribers beginning in early 2027, YouTube announced Monday.

YouTube Premium subscribers will gain access to content including live sports from leagues like the NBA and NFL and shows such as “Love Island USA” and “Saturday Night Live.”
The decision builds on a 2025 agreement between Google and NBCU, and will also enable NBCU to stream some sports events on its YouTube channels.
The Hollywood Reporter noted that the deal could help significantly scale Peacock, a platform with viewership that is relatively small compared with streaming competitors.
