As Spotify unveils a redesigned podcast feed, podcast ad spending keeps climbing

The news: Spotify rolled out a redesigned podcast feed, better discovery tools, and creator features like linked content and comment threads to improve podcast listening and engagement directly from the app’s Home screen and episode pages. The updates are part of Spotify’s continued effort to boost podcast listenership and attract advertisers.

Zooming out: This comes as US podcast advertising revenues surged to $2.43 billion in 2024, a 26% increase over the prior year, per data from the Interactive Advertising Bureau and PwC.
