The news: Snapchat and McDonald’s have launched a collaboration giving MyMcDonald’s Rewards members a chance to exchange points for a one-month Snapchat+ subscription. The offer, which runs from June 10 to July 7, marks the first time McDonald’s is offering a digital subscription service as a reward.
The program is only available to new Snapchat+ subscribers, and aims to build on the current 15 million people who subscribe to Snapchat+. Per Snap’s US Head of Verticals Katelyn Kroneman, the partnership fulfills Snap’s goal to find “fresh, fun ways to help brands connect more meaningfully with their audience.”
