The news: Out-of-home (OOH) advertising revenues hit a record $9.46 billion in 2025, marking 19 consecutive quarters of growth and representing a 3.6% YoY increase, per the Out of Home Advertising Association of America (OAAA).

  • Fourth quarter revenues grew 4.8% YoY.
  • Digital OOH (DOOH) was a major growth driver, accounting for 36.3% of total revenues and showing 10.5% growth YoY.
  • Traditional OOH formats like street furniture, transit, billboards, and place-based media also showed gains. Transit was the fastest-growing segment, increasing 9.2% YoY.
  • Top categories included legal services (21% growth YoY), wireless telecom providers (47%), consumer banking (34%), and computer software (28%).
  • The brands leading OOH spending were Apple, Morgan & Morgan, Vivint, and Verizon.

The trend: Despite the growth of digital advertising via channels like social media and CTV, OOH remains a reliable way to reach audiences at scale. We forecast US OOH ad spending will reach $11.28 billion in 2026, growing 6.2% YoY. Spending will rise through 2030.
