The news: Meta ended a beta test that allowed users to send messages to other users on Instagram while in the Threads app.
The test was available to limited users and began in April.
Threads still doesn’t have a direct-messaging system within its app, though Meta added cross-posting options between Facebook, Instagram, and Threads last month.
