Domino’s focus on value helps it outpace competitors such as Papa John’s and Pizza Hut

The strategy: Domino’s sharp focus on value is helping it outpace the competition.

  • In September, it rolled out its “Moreflation” promotion that offered a free size upgrade, and this week it brought back its “Emergency Pizza” deal, its twist on a two-for-one deal that gives consumers a free medium pizza within 30 days of their original purchase when they place an online order of at least $7.99.
  • Those promotions come on the heels of the company revamping its loyalty program to make it easier to earn rewards.
