Diners are finding restaurant deals in their inbox and social feeds

Key Stat: 33% of US restaurant diners discover promotions via email/newsletters and 32% via social media, according to a September 2025 survey from YouGov.

Beyond the Chart:

  • Email discovery comes with a caveat. 40% of US consumers unsubscribe from brand emails and texts at least once weekly, according to GetApp.
  • Meanwhile, consumers are growing more accepting of promotional content when it's relevant. Roughly 3 in 5 US consumers (61%) say they don't mind seeing sponsored ads for relevant brands, up 14 percentage points YoY, according to Bain and ROI Rocket.
