Most Consumers Have Used a Health App, but Many Don’t Stick With It
Methodology
Data is from the January 2026 EMARKETER Survey "US Digital Health." 2,138 US consumers ages 15-80 were surveyed during December 18, 2025-January 2, 2026. Respondents are consumers who have conducted research for medical information online. The respondents were selected to closely align with the US population on the criteria of age, gender, race/ethnicity, and household income. The survey was fielded by a third-party sample provider. Data has a margin of error of +/-2.1 percentage points at the 95% confidence level. The survey was conducted to gauge consumers' behaviors, attitudes, and experiences related to the discovery and research process for digital health products and services. It identifies the channels for seeking health information and provider reviews, the settings where healthcare services are accessed, and the factors influencing consumers’ decision-making and behavior.
