Data is from the October 2019 Common Sense report titled "The Common Sense Census: Media Use by Teens and Tweens" conducted by Ipsos KnowledgePanel. 1,677 US children and teens ages 8-18 were surveyed online during March 11-April 3, 2019. Households without internet access were provided a device for the survey. Households received a cash equivalent of $5 for participating in the survey. An oversample of 250 black respondents were surveyed. Data was weighted to be representative of the US population ages 8-18. Common Sense is a nonprofit organization supporting children and media.
