Methodology

Data is from the December 2017 Common Sense Media survey conducted by SurveyMonkey as cited in a press release. 884 US teens ages 14-17 and 3,282 US parents of teens were surveyed online during September 20-October 12, 2017. Data was weighted to be representative of the US population for age, race, sex, education and geography.
