How Did US Internet Users Hear About the First Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) Brand They Bought from? (% of respondents, March 2019)

Description

US consumers were asked about the first time they bought something from a direct-to-consumer brand, and how they initially heard about that brand. The charts shows some of the ways consumers first heard about D2C brands was through ads on social media, ads on general news sites, online search, and ... word of mouth.

Methodology

Data is from the March 2019 Toluna "D2C Survey." 2,011 US internet users ages 18+ were surveyed online during March 9-10, 2019. Internet users identified as female (63.5%) and male (36.5%). Internet users identified their ages as 18-34 (24.6%), 35-54 (39.4%) and 55+ (36%).
