Temu's US traffic is back, and bigger than it was before tariffs hit

Key stat: Temu drew 108.2 million unique US visitors in June 2026, up 79% from 60.6 million a year earlier, according to an August report from Comscore.

Beyond the chart:

  • That traffic is not free. Temu parent PDD grew revenue 8.1% YoY in Q2 while net profit fell 12% and sales and marketing spending rose 9.2%, a sign the company is buying its way back to scale as its tariff advantage erodes.
  • Meanwhile, the discounters still sit well behind the incumbents. Amazon alone drew 243.8 million US unique visitors in April 2026, close to what Walmart, Temu, and eBay pulled in put together, according to Comscore.

Use this chart: Drop this in your competitive review when someone argues tariffs permanently sidelined the China-founded marketplaces. Show leadership that Temu now pulls nearly double Shein's US traffic. Use it to pressure-test price-driven acquisition assumptions before you set holiday budgets against a rival that just added 48 million visitors.
