TelevisaUnivision goes big on Gen Z Hispanic audiences

The news: TelevisaUnivision is going all-in on young, digital-first Hispanic audiences, unveiling a slate of music-driven, culturally specific offerings during its 2025 Upfront.

  • The media company introduced ViX Música, a Latin music streaming platform packed with concerts, unplugged sessions, artist interviews, and a partnership with iHeartMedia to stream Fiesta Latina.
  • It also teased YA Fest, a new three-city music festival designed for Gen Z, airing live across its properties in 2026.

On the content side, ViX is expanding its footprint with microdramas—one-minute scripted series meant for vertical viewing—and always-on reality formats.

  • These moves follow a performance-heavy presentation featuring Prince Royce, and a speech from ad sales chief Donna Speciale affirming TelevisaUnivision’s singular focus on “being everything to one: the Hispanic community.”
