Publicis purchases Captiv8 as marketers see increased influencer value

The news: Publicis Groupe is purchasing influencer marketing platform Captiv8, deepening its focus on influencer marketing services, per a press release.

  • The deal is reportedly valued at $150 million and gives Publicis access to Captiv8’s network of 15 million creators, which represents around 95% of influencers with more than 5,000 followers worldwide.
  • The acquisition builds on Publicis’ previous purchases of marketing company Influential and influencer marketing organization BR Media Group. Publicis aims to strengthen its influencer capabilities by merging Captiv8’s technology with Influential’s scale, both key assets within its connected media portfolio.
