Pinterest’s ad offerings evolve with features targeting Gen Z

The news: Pinterest announced new ad offerings at its Pinterest Presents summit as it looks to cement its position as a key destination for digital advertisers.

Among the updates:

  • An ad format that will allow brands to purchase ads in the top slots of Pinterest’s search and related pins results. Local inventory ads are now broadly available to advertisers, which will offer notes for promoted pins enabling brands to highlight products available at nearby stores.
  • A new tool, Media Network Connect, that will allow brands to securely connect campaigns to media networks to safely share first party audiences, conversion data, and product catalogs with ad partners.
  • Along with its new ad offerings, Pinterest is developing improvements for boards to better align with user behaviors and exploring predictive forecasts for Pinterest trends.

Building offerings: Pinterest’s new features build on its efforts to enhance advertiser appeal by tapping into Gen Z shopping habits.
