PayPal rolls out record ad campaign starring Will Ferrell to pick up in-store momentum

The news: PayPal rolled out its largest ever US ad campaign to promote the PayPal Debit Mastercard and the company’s in-store push, per a press release.

  • The ad features actor and comedian Will Ferrell and plays on Fleetwood Mac’s “Everywhere.”
  • It debuted during the first Monday Night Football game of the season and will air throughout the rest of 2024.

PayPal also introduced a new “visual look” as part of a larger campaign across social media, digital media, podcasts, streaming, and more.

Why this matters: While it’s massively popular for online purchases, PayPal has struggled to grab in-store volume.
