Google unveils AI Max, an overhaul of its search advertising features

The news: Google announced AI Max for Search campaigns on Tuesday, a “one-click feature suite” that easily integrates AI with existing campaigns to offer additional analytics, customization, and enhanced search term matching.

  • Limited tests found that advertisers who used AI Max for Search campaigns saw a 14% increase in conversions at the same cost per ad.
  • Brands that activated AI Max while still using “exact and phrase keywords” saw an increase of 27%—emphasizing AI Max’s ability to improve performance at relatively low cost and upkeep.

Early partners of AI Max include L'Oréal and MyConnect. AI Max for Search campaigns will enter a global beta test in June, per Google.
