Agency Satisfaction: About a third of marketers aren’t satisfied with their current agency model, according to a study by The CMO Club, cited by The Drum. In the survey of 106 CMOs from B2B and B2C brands, only 22% of respondents said they work solely with their agency of record. Most of the respondents said a “lack of innovation/creativity” generated dissatisfaction with the agency or record model. These results come at a time when current agency models are facing a crisis. The sudden departure of WPP CEO Martin Sorrell has led some to question if the ad industry is witnessing the beginning of the end of agency holding companies.
Tablet Obsessed? New data from YouGov, which looked at tablet usage among Gen Zers, found that younger users, those ages 8 to 11 and 12 to 14, are more likely to use tablets like an iPad or Amazon Fire more frequently than those ages 15 to 17. How they use it varies as well. Children ages 8 to 11 are more likely to take pictures or use educational apps, while their older cohorts use tablets to message friends, video chat or go on social media.
