The news: In the latest example of tie-ups between drug manufacturers and telehealth companies, Biogen is partnering with online psychiatric care provider Talkiatry to offer care and treatment services to patients with postpartum depression.

Digging into the partnership: Talkiatry has created a website where women can learn about the signs and symptoms of postpartum depression and potentially receive treatment. Biogen will also make resources available through a link on their patient-specific website.

Patients can take an online assessment to see if they’re a fit for one of Talkiatry’s virtual care programs and if their insurance covers the cost. Eligible patients get matched with a Talkiatry psychiatrist, who will assess, diagnose, and prescribe treatment as needed.
