The news: Amazon is expanding its Prime Video live sports push through major deals with the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Amazon Prime Video announced its first sponsorship agreement with FanDuel, which will see the NBA on Prime offer “dynamic betting content” like screen overlays that add game context and showcase how teams and players perform in relation to betting markets.
Amazon also announced a multiyear partnership with the NBA that will see Amazon Web Services (AWS) offer real-time, AI-powered stats during games. Branded as “NBA Inside the Game,” the feature will be available across NBA channels and integrates AWS’ AI infrastructure.
