Methodology

Data is from the April 2019 BRP Consulting report titled "Consumer Shopping Habits: The Generation Gap" sponsored by Manhattan Associates. 1,298 US internet users ages 18+ were surveyed online during December 2018. Internet users were 46% male and 54% female. Internet users were from the following generations: Gen Z (5%), millennials (30%), Gen X (24%), baby boomers (35%) and seniors (7%). Generations were defined as the following age ranges: Gen Z (18-21), millennials (22-37), Gen X (38-54), baby boomers (54-72) and seniors (73+).
