Would US Millennial Digital Buyers Be More Likely to Make Another Digital Purchase from a Retailer if They Received a Free Giveaway*? May 2018 (% of respondents, by age)

Would US Millennial Digital Buyers Be More Likely to Make Another Digital Purchase from a Retailer if They Received a Free Giveaway*? May 2018 (% of respondents, by age)

Note

Respondents were asked, "If you ordered a product online and it came with a free giveaway in the package (sticker, magnet, samples, coupon for next order, etc.), would you be more likely to purchase from that retailer again?"

Methodology

Data is from the September 2018 Dotcom Distribution "Great(er) Expectations: The Rapid Evolution of Consumer Demands in eCommerce - 2018 eCommerce Study." 1,420 US internet users ages 18+ were surveyed online in May 2018. 96.3% of the respondents had made a digital purchase from at least one digital retailer in the past 12 months. Respondents were female (57.1%), male (41.6%) and prefer not to identify/other (1.3%). Respondents identified their ages as 18-21 (4.7%), 22-37 (30%), 38-53 (24%), 54-72 (32.5%) and 73+ (8.9%). Dotcom Distribution is an ecommerce fulfillment company.
