Important* vs. Well-Executed** Dining Experience Features/Technologies According to US Restaurant Diners and Executives, Feb 2018 (% of respondents)

Description

According to data from February 2018, the most important dining experience features/technologies for diners were ease of ordering and payment (71% of respondents) and discounts and promotions (63%). Restaurant executives identified these as the most well-executed but at lower rates (45% and 35%).

Methodology

Data is from the July 2018 BRP (Boston Retail Partners) and Windstream Enterprise report titled "Restaurant Digital Crossroads: The Race to Meet Guest Expectations." 1,225 US internet users ages 18+ who had eaten at a restaurant in the past 6 months and 60 US restaurant executives were surveyed online in February 2018. 35% of the restaurant executives had annual revenues of $1 billion+.
