According to data from December 2017, news publishers worldwide most commonly use artificial intelligence (AI) to improve content recommendations, with 59% of respondents agreeing. Other common uses are workflow automation and improving commercial optimization (ad targeting, dynamic pricing).
Data is from the January 2018 Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford report titled "Journalism, Media, Technology Trends and Predictions 2018." 194 news publishers worldwide were surveyed online during December 2017.
