500 retailers in North America were asked about their customer engagement priorities for 2018. This chart shows their responses on a various strategies and actions, including customer identification, personalization, responsive design and social media analytics among others.
Data is from the January 2018 BRP (Boston Retail Partners) report titled "2018 POS/Customer Engagement Survey." 500 retailers in North America were surveyed online during November-December 2017. Respondents' titles were primarily directors and vice presidents of store systems or IT and C-level executives. Respondents worked for a variety of industries including convenience and fuel (3%), general merchandise (18%), grocery, food & beverage (15%), QSR and restaurants (5%), specialty hard goods (26%), specialty soft goods (28%) and other (5%). Respondents identified their company's annual revenue as less than $100 million (15%), $100-$499 million (18%), $500-$999 million (13%), $1-$4.99 billion (23%), $5-$9.99 billion (10%) and $10+ billion (21%).
