According to mobile app developers surveyed worldwide, 30% of app install ad budget is allocated to full-screen video (nonsocial) and 24% is allocated to social video. Social display, in-feed video (nonsocial), banner, native, and other formats each make up less than 10% of total budget.
Data is from the December 2017 AdColony "App Install Marketing Survey: Fall 2017." The semiannual survey is sent to the 100 top-grossing app developers worldwide. For this wave, 78 developers were surveyed during fall 2017. AdColony is a mobile advertising and marketing platform.
